Job purpose:
An Experienced Clay and Biscuit working Supervisor
Supervisor Duties:
The Candidate should have previous experience as a Supervisor in a similar field and have excellent knowledge of clay and biscuit production. You should be prepared to contribute effectively to the Burgess & Leigh team and be able to meet our expectations for reliability and flexibility.

Job purpose:

Supervisor Duties:
- A working Supervisor.
- To support the Production Manager in achieving agreed targets.
- To ensure all Company policies and procedures are implemented effectively.
- To ensure good communication within the department and build excellent working relationships with all relevant contacts within the business.
- Support all Health & Safety activity in line with policy and practices, including H&S walks.
- To manage absence, RTW etc at a local departmental level.
- Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Carries out all toolbox talks in a timely and effective manner.
- To carry out all audits within the departments

Hand Glaze Sprayer, 39 Hours Per Week - Burgess and Leigh
It takes 25 pairs of hands to create a single piece of Burleigh pottery, and each pot is meticulously hand finished. Burleigh has an opportunity for a Hand Glaze Sprayer to join their team of skilled crafts people and share their passion for a commitment to quality craftmanship.
You will be required to work 39 hours per week on a Monday to Friday shift pattern.
Job Purpose and Duties
To hand spray a range of existing holloware and flatware in a translucent glaze to the specification required
The Candidate
The ideal candidate for the role will hold the following:
- Good understanding of the glaze set-up
- Experience in hand glaze spraying
- Knowledge of glaze thickness and the tools to measure this
- Knowledge of hand spraying techniques
- Understanding of how to layer glazes
- Ability to maintain a safe and clean working environment
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- £24,761.88 per annum
- 33 days holiday, plus service days after 5 years continuous service
