Leading the way in reactive glazes and helping to create the trend for artisanal aesthetics in ceramics which have been embraced in homes and restaurants around the world ever since; a look which is still admired and imitated by many today.
Halo was, and still is, impactful and rebellious, and this now-iconic collection created ‘Halo effects’ that at the time could never have been predicted. From the effect it has had on our pottery, through the initial concepts created by the designers, to the skills of the artisans who craft every piece and the magic that happens in the kiln; the effect Halo has in the homes of those who love, cherish and use it everyday; the effect it has on how food is presented; and the effect it has on reducing our impact on the planet.

An original and iconic design.
Much imitated, but never replicated, Denby Halo is our most striking and recognisable design. The Halo effect elevates everything from a Tuesday teatime to a Friday night takeaway to a full family gathering. With over 70 items and complementary cookware, cast iron, placemats and glassware to name a few, there is a piece of Halo for every need you might have for dining, cooking, drinking, gifting, serving and storage plus items great for home décor around the home, for kids and pet bowls too!
Most loved and cherished.
For 15 years, the Halo community has continued to grow and doesn't seem to falter. The effect it has on its users is evident in thousands of user reviews and Instagram posts, in the pride of a chef presenting their best dish and in the joy of a recipient of Halo as a gift. Like all Denby, Halo creates feel-good moments all around the home, inside and out..
Handcrafted & unique.
Using iron-rich clay from our local Denby seam, Halo is crafted by at least 20 pairs of hands along the way. Each hand pouring love and soul into every piece, from the shaping of the clay to the glazing techniques which make it so iconic. Once the Halo pieces have been sprayed, dipped, speckled or banded, the magic of the kiln takes over, creating this magical Halo design effect which is unique on every piece.
Sustainably made to last.
Like all Denby stoneware, Halo's effect in reducing our environmental impact means it comes with some serious sustainability credentials and backs up our long-held belief in 'buy well, buy once'. Using local clay and crafted in our pottery which has zero to landfill (recycling our clay, water, glaze and taking power from our on site solar array) and makes made-to-last ceramics guaranteed for 10 years, Halo leads its field. Add on its versatility around the home, the fact it can be used confidently in ovens, microwaves, dishwashers and freezers and looks amazing too, then with Halo you truly have feel-good ceramics for creating feel-good moments of your own.
